Coworkers Enjoy Day on the WaterReport Date: January 2, 2015A thoughtful father gifted his daughter and 5 coworkers to enjoy a day on the water catching fish and having fun. The ocean was very calm and the boat quickly loaded up on live bait at the bent range marker. Upon arriving at the fishing grounds, the crew started out live baiting, but there was no action. The crew changed over to trolling gear and headed south. The trolling was much more productive, the kingfish bite was on as the planner rods and long riggers produced good sized kingfish and a few bonitos. Towards the end of the afternoon, the crew again tried live baiting with the kite and rigger baits. This time the bite was better - a few black tip sharks were captured and released and the biggest kingfish of the day was captured on the long kite bait.
