Like Father Like Son - Doubleheader SailfishReport Date: March 15, 2014Like Father Like Son A father and son team booked a half day trip on the Blue Waters 2. After maxing out with bait at the station, Capt. John picked the outside of the third reef in about 100' of water. Out went the kite and rigger baits and one down line with a herring. The bottom line started singing and up jumped a sailfish on the bitten line. A second sailfish followed the first and he gobbled the long kite bait – both fish of course going in opposite directions. Skillfully coaching the anglers both fish were released after a quick photo.
Two large kingfish were the final bites and two tired, but happy anglers returned to the dock. Captain John Barker
