Fish on my ListReport Date: June 29, 2016A nice couple booked a six hour trip on the Blue Waters 2. The lady angler had a fishing The wind was very light and out of the west. Captain John started out trolling on the edge of the third reef. The action was hot with plenty of the common summer bonitas with a few blackfin tunas mixed in. Then the planner went crazy and the lady bought in a frisky wahoo. She was trilled and very tired, but she still had one fish on her list. She told John she still wanted a sailfish. But the light west wind made kite fishing impossible and the light current made a sailfish improbable. Not to worry because Capt. John was at the helm - he found a faint edge of the gulfstream and the mate put out the live baits on the outriggers. It wasn't long before the bottom line started to sing. John throttled up to set the hook, and as he did, a sailfish jumped on the long rigger. The sailfish was very lively tail-walking across the stern, but the lady was relentless and the release was made at the boat. Two very tired anglers returned to the dock with a fully checked fish wish list and great memories. The Blue Waters 2 still has opening slots for charters over the July 4th holiday - so give us a call and let's catch your wish list. Captain John Barker
