Hardcore Fun FishingReport Date: August 7, 2013Not all charters are about hardcore fishing. On a recent trip, the Blue Waters II was chartered along with other Bayside charter boats for a multi-boat corporate outing. The group being entertained let the crew know they were on board for sun, fun, lots of adult beverages and some fishing. The boat worked its way offshore and found a nice edge in 140' and fired out the fishing kite. Along came a sailfish that inhaled the herring and the fight was on. It took a few minutes to get an angler on the fish but the sailfish, after several spectacular jumps, came to the boat and was released. The action was solid all afternoon with another sailfish and then a feisty shark. It was like the fish were trying to win the attention of the clients. All too soon it was time to return to the dock and let our guests exercise the best fishing tradition - bragging about the day's catch. Captain John
