Mahi in DecemberReport Date: December 29, 2016The holidays start our tourist season and the fishing is good. We fished a family reunion with the husband who has a charter boat in Hong Kong!! The day was warm and the offshore waters looked very temping. Taking the offshore tact, the crew was rewarded with a bombardment of larger single Mahi-Mahi. There was a hour of action while the birds tempted the boat further offshore. Finally, the action petered out so the crew brought the boat back to the shallower edge and kite fished. One oversized bonito crashed the long kite. There were a few knockdowns but the day ended with a happy crew enjoying some yummy lunches and bragging on who captured the largest fish.
