Spring Weather, Spring FishReport Date: February 14, 2018The winds have finally subsided. We lost a week due to 30 knot winds, but we're back to the ocean again. We took two friends out for a six hour trip. We captured 50 or so large herring at the range marker, and then proceeded to hang them out on the kite. Live baiting was slow for most of the boats out there. We captured and released a small black tip shark. A sharp blue green edge formed in 250' and we brought in the live baits and put out the trolling gear. Working in and out of the edge we were rewarded with three sizable single dolphins all eating the skirted ballyhoo. The customers celebrated with lunch and cold beer on the way back to the dock, where pictures and smiles were shared. The Miami Boat Show starts this week. Take time off and come fish with us.
